So Busy Its Scary

We have hit the ground running. I mean we are really busy. I am not sure how mission offices survive with only one couple. We love the work and are finally feeling comfortable because we have done most tasks once and have had two Zone Conferences.
The spring was brought out an unexpected beauty to our area. Who knew it would be so lovely here? Every morning we drive along the tree lined parkway, under stone bridges lined with Canadian geese, to our building in a great outdoor mall. You know that makes me happy. We have participated in teaching and watching Alyssa Viruet be baptized. What a wonderful young lady. Because we live in Yonkers (which means hills) and the ward is in the Bronx we took a meal to the church to feed the six missionaries from our ward. They are great!
So different from each other but very dedicated to the work. We had a wonderful lesson after about listening to the Spirit as they watched Conference.

We have been in New York for almost a month. The mission field is so interesting. We are assigned to the Kingsbridge 2nd ward. The people in the ward are wonderful. They have strong testimonies. Everyone has been kind and friendly. It is a very diverse ward with people from many cultures. We all share a love for the Lord and the gospel. We have had an opportunity to meet with investigators and work in the Temple. We are in the Mission Office for 3 1/2 days with wonderful missionaries.

We spent a wonderful ten days in the MTC. We met wonderful people and gain the courage to teach with the help of great teachers. It was a world apart for spiritual growth. It was challenging and full of tender mercies of learning, and sweet opportunities.
